At Newbies, we cater for the children of students and staff and families from our local community. Our programmes are underpinned by the national early childhood care and development and New Zealand’s Te Whariki. We are committed to effective group sizes, teacher ratios, and employing qualified teachers. As a not-for-profit organisation, our fees are also very competitive.

Our teaching is child-led and play-based curriculum and we nurture their interests, wonder, curiosity and exploration. We support children in their development of social and academic skills, incorporating our ‘Transition to School’ programme so they are well equipped for their lifelong journey of learning.

For most families however, it is our passion for teaching and learning that makes the decision to enrol here such an easy one. Our teachers are inspiring, experienced professionals, who simply love what they do. We look forward to sharing that excitement with you. Our community and parent relationships are important to us because we know that a child will flourish if everyone works together.
